The Museum, designed by Stanley Tigerman, is composed of a dark gray side and a white side, symbolizing the dark past and bright future. The concept created a unique challenge for the design of wayfinding and signage components. To provide continuity in signage, maple, a wood used in one of the dramatic interior spaces, was used. Aluminum sign panels containing raised letters and Braille provided a contrasting material and addressed ADA guidelines.
