In the final exercise of the semester, students work with image and text to create a type specimen page with “illustration” and text. They choose four different typefaces that they have found interesting. Working with four elements: a large sample character, full name of typeface, a complete setting of twenty-six letters– upper case and lower case–and ten numbers, and a brief descriptive paragraph about the typeface, they create unique type specification pages for each typeface selected.
